A weekly radio programme presented by Gordon Gandy with lots of emphasis on the town’s history. Every Friday 12noon-3pm (repeated Sundays 12noon-3pm) on 1332AM, online, on App and on Smart speaker.
WARRINGTON HISTORY SOCIETY
Established in 1964 to encourage an interest in all aspects of local history with particular reference to Warrington and its surrounding area. Organises lectures, visits to interesting places and more.
WARRINGTON LITERARY & PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY
Organises a programme of stimulating lectures followed by a lively question and answer session on topics including science, art, history, politics, music and literature.
